Brigitt Andermatt is born in Lucerne in 1965, where she also completed the preparatory course and her graphic design studies at the Schule für Gestaltung. Since 1988, she has worked as a freelance illustrator and visual artist, carrying out commissions for advertising agencies, magazines and other clients. In her artistic practice, Brigitt Andermatt draws inspiration from nature; her works feature animal and plant motifs, which are, however, rendered in an abstract style and depicted in harmonious colours. Diluted acrylic paint and collage are among her preferred materials and techniques. Andermatt lives in Baar and has her studio in the city of Zug.
