Luca Degunda, born in Zug, first earns degrees in Art History and German studies from the University of Zurich before completing a degree in New Media at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK). Since 2007, Degunda’s works are exhibited both nationally and internationally. His artistic practice focuses primarily on abstract art and is expressed through mediums such as paintings, silkscreen prints, and wall installations. His murals often develop out of superimpositions and intersections of lines that play with various depth structures. For the municipal art trail “Lost in Tugium” in 2012, he creates the installation “Die Nase” (The Nose). This work is rather atypically realistic for him and has since become an integral part of Zug’s public art and thus of the cityscape.
