Inspired by nature, Simone Torelli constantly creates something new and unexpected through an experimental interplay of colours, shapes and materials. The result is a body of work comprising drawings, paintings, photographs and collages that draw the eye to the invisible and the overlooked. Her work makes the beauty of nature visible and tangible in unfamiliar and novel forms. Having trained in visual communication, textile design and screen printing at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Torelli now lives and works in Zurich. Her artistic practice takes her to Pakistan, India, Indonesia and Ticino as part of studio residencies and extended travels.
