Michelle Ettlin lives and works as a freelance filmmaker in Zurich. She is born in Baar and studies at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Art in visual communication and has a specialisation in animation. Occasionally Ettlin works as a camerawoman and editor on various productions. In her own work, she attaches particular importance to forging a relationship between the people behind and in front of the camera. She is interested in exploring performance, sound and music, as well as various forms of collaboration and interaction. Michelle Ettlin collaborates with dance, theatre and music professionals in the Zurich region, Central Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland. Alongside her film work she is also involved in organising concert series and festivals. Her body of work includes photographic pieces and installations.
