Michelle Kohler lives and works as a visual artist in Emmenbrücke, Lucerne. Among other things, she draws inspiration for her artistic work from a semester abroad at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik. She completes this stay abroad in 2006 as part of her studies at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. For several years, Michelle Kohler focuses her work on the theme of huts, houses and their interiors. Her oeuvre encompasses photographic, sculptural and installation pieces.
