Vreni Spieser’s diverse artistic practice spans the fields of performance, community art and installation. In her work, she frequently uses recycled materials, paper and textiles, amongst other things. For several years now, Spieser has been exploring the concept of ‘Eldorado’, embarking on a journey of research and discovery. From the perspective of migration and postcolonialism, she questions the insatiable spirit of discovery behind the term, whilst also situating it within the context of adaptation, ornamentation, travel and dance. Born in Zug, she lives and works in Zurich and her travels and recidencies take her to Berlin, Paris, Buenos Aires and Japan.
