In her paintings, drawings and prints, Myrtha Steiner explores the perception of nature. She lives in Baar and Marchirolo (IT) and frequently travels to various locations around the world for her artistic work. She has travelled to the Egyptian desert, the underwater world of the South China Sea, a national park in Mongolia and the coast of southern France. She captures her experiences in sketches and subsequently explores them in depth through work cycles. These long and intensive processes give rise to drawings and paintings that develop a presence of their own. Myrtha Steiner continually explores new technical and artistic possibilities, for example by creating art books or developing ideas for art-in-architecture projects.
